THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur on Wednesday morning.
Data from PHIVOLCS showed the tectonic quake occurred at 9:11 a.m. and had a depth of 10 kilometers.
Phivolcs recorded Intensity V in the City of Bislig, in Surigao del Sur.
The following instrumental intensities were also reported:
Intensity III – City of Bislig, Surigao del Sur
Intensity II – Nabunturan, Davao de Oro
There are no expected damage or aftershocks following the magnitude 5.3 earthquake, said Phivolcs.
