The Philippines—along with Japan and Indonesia—is hosting the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup from 25 August to 10 September 2023. This is the second time the Philippines will host the FIBA World Cup after hosting the same in 1978. The tournament will serve as qualification for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
