Zambo fire: 1 dead, 260 houses razed to the ground

ONE person died and approximately 260 houses made of light materials were razed to the ground during the early Monday morning fire in sitio Asinan, barangay Kasanyangan.

Fire probers initially estimate the damage to properties at P1.75 million.

As this developed, Mayor John Dalipe, who proceeded to the area to help facilitate response, has ordered the City Social Welfare and Development to immediately provide the necessary assistance to the families affected by the incident.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office dispatched its resources and personnel to help the Bureau of Fire Protection and other responding agencies during firefighting operations.

Per report of the BFP, the fire broke out 4:27am and reached third alarm. Fire fighters declared fire under control at 6:04 and fire out at 6:33am.

Investigation on the cause of the fire, identity of the casualty and other details is still ongoing.
