P16M worth of shabu seized in Malabon City

The National Capital Region Police Office works tirelessly despite the country’s busy preparation for the New Year’s Eve and successfully seized more than ₱16 million worth of illegal drugs at Pureza Street, Brgy. Tugatog, Malabon City on December 31.

PMGen Jonnel C Estomo lauds the Northern Police District -Malabon City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit for the successful conduct of a planned buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of Noel Herrera, alias Toto, high-value individual, 56.

Seized from the suspect’s possession and control were: One (1) eco bag containing “shabu” weighing MOL two (2) kilos and three hundred eighty (380) grams; One (1) digital weighing scale; One (1) driver’s license and two (2) pieces of Php1,000 bill as buy-bust money, placed inside a dominant blue paper bag.

A total confiscated illegal drugs weighed 2 kilos and 380 grams with an estimated standard drug price value of ₱16,184,000.00.

The purchased and seized pieces of evidence were brought to Northern Police District Forensic Unit, Caloocan City, for the examination while the arrested suspect was detained at Custodial Facility of Malabon City Police Station.

 “Walang pinipiling panahon ang mga tulak at gumagamit ng iligal na droga. Sinasamantala nila ang panahon kung kailan abala ang mga tao sa pag salubong ng bagong taon. Gayunpaman, hindi rin ito pahihintulutan ng kapulisan, hindi napapagod at hindi titigil na sila ay hanapin at hulihin ano mang oras, panahon o okasyon,” said Estomo.
