136 partylist groups, laglag sa Comelec

ISANG buwan bago ang itinakdang petsa ng anunsyo para sa talaan ng mga opisyal na kandidato, inihayag ng isang opisyal ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang pagtapyas sa halos kalahati ng talaan ng mga partylist groups na nag-aasam lumahok sa 2022 general elections.

Sa isang social media post ni Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon, hayagan nitong sinabing 126 partylist groups na nagsumite ng aplikasyon ang hindi pinagbigyan lumahok pagsapit ng Mayo ng susunod na taon – “126 applicants for Party List registration were denied by Comelec.”

Sa tala ng Comelec, 270 partylist groups ang naghain ng kanilang certificates of nomination and acceptance mula Oktubre 1 hanggang 8, kasabay ang mga aspirante para sa iba’t ibang national elective posts.
