
FIFTY-NINE OFW returnees from Israel received immediate assistance from the government upon their arrival at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City, on Friday.
The DMW and OWWA provided financial assistance worth P100,000 to each OFW returnees from Israel, along with comprehensive reintegration assistance and job facilitation services for other employment opportunities.
Aside from the financial assistance from the DMW and OWWA, each OFW returnee also received livelihood assistance worth Php 20,000 from the DSWD, and skills training vouchers from TESDA.
The DOH also provided onsite medical assistance to ensure the health and wellness of the OFW returnees.
The repatriation of this batch brings to a total of 1,004 OFWs and 36 dependents returnees due to the Israel-Hamas conflict, through the joint efforts of the DMW, OWWA, and the DFA.
