THREE boy scouts perished and twelve more were injured in a tragic electrocution accident at the 2024 Council Scout Jamboree in Zamboanga City.
The incident occurred Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Climaco Freedom Park in Pasonanca, as scouts were relocating their tent.
Contact with a live wire resulted in severe electrical burns to the twelve injured scouts, who are now reportedly in stable condition. In response to this devastating event, city officials cancelled the remaining three days of the jamboree, which was expected to draw nearly 2,000 participants.
